What does "DSLR" stand for?

Definition: An SLR or digital SLR is a high-end model at intermediate and experienced photographers directed. A digital SLR camera is often called a DSLR. Digital SLRs are professional style.

DSLR models typically offer interchangeable lenses, image sensors, manual controls, external flash units, and (TTL) viewers through the lens. Large models and they are very similar to the 35mm camera film that were popular a few years ago, are equipped with handles and large boxes of lenses.

A digital camera model that looks like an SLR, but avoids a TTL viewfinder and interchangeable lenses, called a digital SLR-style or camera lens. These cameras are for intermediate photographers can serve as a bridge between a point and shoot and a real DSLR.

A new classification for cameras with interchangeable lenses, DIL or EVIL, uses a mirrorless design. These cameras are not technically digital SLR cameras.

AKA: DSLR camera
