Despite the availability of a variety of manufacturers of digital SLR cameras, Canon vs Nikon debate is still going strong. From the days of the 35-mm film, the two manufacturers have close competitors. Traditionally, the things sawtooth between each manufacturers seem stronger for a while before having to go to the other.
Once, as a photographer, on a system, you are probably a big fan of him! I was a Canon user since 15 years ago, when my assistant was always used Nikon, and both systems can argue until the cows come home! If I were to be completely objective, but I would say Nikon body tend to be built a little harder and better Canon lenses still have the edge visually.
If you is not tied to a system, the choice of cameras can be confusing. In this article I will take a look at two of the most popular amateur cameras - Canon 60D and Nikon D7000. Both cameras are for those who want their photography a step further.
What is the best buy? I'm going to help take a look at the keys in each chamber, a more informed decision point.
Resolution, and controls the body
The Canon wins with the resolution of 18 million pixels 16.2 megapixel Nikon. However, it is unlikely that you will not even notice the difference, unless you plan to regularly backs screen size!
More importantly, there is a big difference in organ building. Canon of a plastic housing (a large deviation from its predecessor 50D, which was made of a magnesium alloy). The Nikon is magnesium alloy and is certainly a much more suitable if you are planning to shoot outdoors in weatherproof unit. Both units have comfortable handles. But even if the Canon is made of plastic, it is so much bigger and heavier than the Nikon.
When it comes to the controls, or the camera is perfect. Nikon once the ISO button while the device is still set in a "delicate" position that can not be changed at eye level. "Live View" Nikon setup is not great, either, but there are many customization options - as long as you have the time, the camera is set up to take buy the original device, and you know what you are doing!
Canon has lost some keys that appear on the 50D, and the buttons now have a single function. It has a "Q" key, which contains the user through the menu screen makes adjustments for Q critical standpoint. Like the Nikon, the adaptable across multiple keys.
SD card
Both devices support the new SDXC cards enable users 2TB space! However, Nikon has two slots for SD cards, which is a big plus. This is especially useful when shooting in different formats or view not want to risk all the images on a single card.
HD video mode
While both devices offer a way to HD video, Canon only record at 30fps. The Nikon is limited to 24 frames per second in HD mode. But Nikon autofocus during video recording.
LCD
The Canon is by far the best camera in the Department of the LCD. Offer not only the folding LCD first DSLR, but the screen has a higher resolution than the Nikon. It is also proportional to 3: 2, which means that displays images with a natural relationship.
System development
In this department, the Nikon is king. Canon 60D uses a nine-point cross-type AF now dated, while Nikon has 39 AF points with nine cross-type sensors. Although both cameras allow users to select an AF point, Nikon also for nine, 21, and dynamic-area AF with 39 points.
Image quality
Both devices work well at high ISO sensitivities, which can be printed results even at ISO 6400 the Nikon product, but much better color reproduction and JPEG Canon RAW but both produce magnificent images. Both devices have a tendency to overexpose in high contrast situations, but it is much more sensitive to Nikon higher for a full study. This is probably because Nikon tend to run a little interest in the colors, reflection on the problem.
In conclusion
In my head, edge simply because of its excellent image quality and a little less boring controls the Canon 60D Nikon D7000. For those who do, it is with digital SLR cameras easier to install and to use, right out of the box camera. And if you are interested in movies, the Canon has many more options.
I would however recommend the Nikon if it will work in inhospitable conditions (as there is much more) turn in JPEG or never. Otherwise, I recommend the Canon.
